Its probably because they were damaged. They don't go down in condition before you mend them, but can still loose a % of abs and no longer be recognized as pristine would be my guess

'Full' is not a keyword for these. Use gauntlets, leather, sturdy or heavycomboeq. Essentially you asked the mob to check nothing, which apparently isn't pristine.

I used that keyword because....
