Before the Crystal Throne
The famed Crystal Throne rests on a raised plateau, looking down on those
who approach. Somehow it makes the rest of the room feel insignificant, and
the power symbolised in the seat seems to have a will of it's own. The rest
of the room is filled with wealth, but not with gaudiness, for the Empress
has no need of flattery, knowing her immense power. Cabinets contain
cuendillar figurines, and artifacts dating back to the Age of Legends. Of
course, this part of the palace is heavily guarded, the door to the north
many guards, ready to kill any who approach the Throne uninvited.
